EXECUTIVE INFORMATION SYSTEM ON VEGAS BARBERSHOP USING CODEIGNITER

ABSTRACT

The needs for technology is developing indisputably, as well as the usage of technology in obtaining information reports in prompt and accurate manner. Vegas Barbershop requires such system, therefore an executive information system and forecasting with single exponential smoothing method is designed to meet that requirement. There are several ways to build this system, some of them are data collection, system analysis, system designing, system implementation and system testing. The system is built based on website and using PHP language, HTML, and Codeigniter frameworks. By developing this system, it is expected to be able to assign companies and executives in obtaining reports promptly, accurately and does not require a time-consuming process. This also will be able to assign them in knowing the pomades that must be provided in the next period using the single exponential smoothing method that has been tested by conducting a forecast on October 2017. The forecasting result on that particular month is 80 pomades with forecasting accuracy measurement indicator of Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 7%, in which signifying a good forecasting model with good performance, as the value is located between 1% to 20% range. Based on the result, it can be concluded that using the system, Vegas Barbershop is able to improve the speed and accuracy of their information report collecting, through the process of forecasting using single exponential smoothing method. This also will be able to assign the company in knowing the number of pomade provided in the next period.
